The Cycle and Dredge Magic: The Gathering Collection Manager and Deck Builder has a feature to track changes made to decks.

This feature will allow you to see new cards that have been added to a deck, cards marked for removal to take out of a deck, or cards that need additional copies, or copies removed, from a deck.

Using this deck tracking feature will let you make changes to a deck from a smartphone or computer while at work, school, or on the road. Then make changes to your physical, paper deck when you are ready at a later time. This eliminates the need to make notes or remember any potential changes you wanted to make to your deck.

Adding A New Card

Anytime you add a new card to a deck that was not previously in that deck, it will be marked with a ‘New’ tag. New cards can be added to a deck from the Add Card To Deck button in the menu under the Deck Tools drop-down list or from the Add Card button under any card in your Library.

This will allow you to easily find new cards to insert into your paper deck while making changes to it.

Removing A Card From A Deck

Click the ‘X’ tag on a card while viewing your deck to mark that card for removal. Once that card has been marked for removal, a ‘Marked For Removal’ tag will be added to that card. You can click that ‘Mark For Removal’ tag again to remove that tag if you decide to keep that card in your deck.

The ‘Marked For Removal’ tag will help easily identify cards that need to removed from a deck as you are making changes to your paper deck.

Changing The Quantity Of Cards In A Deck

Anytime the quantity of a card is changes in a deck, that card will be marked with a ‘Quantity Changed’ tag on the card.

This tag will help easily identify cards that either require additional copies to be added to a deck or needs copies removed from a paper deck.

Finalizing A Deck

After all changes are made to your paper deck, press the Finalize Deck button in the menu under the Deck Tools drop down menu.

Pressing the Finalize Deck button will remove all tags from cards and automatically remove any cards with the ‘Marked For Removal’ tag from a deck.

Other Tips

If you change a card quantity to zero rather than mark a card for removal, that card will automatically be removed from a deck. If you are tracking changes to make to a deck at another time, it may be better to mark a card for removal rather than change it’s quantity to zero.

When making physical changes to a paper deck, use the decklist in the Collection Management and Deck Builder app to quickly identify cards that need to removed or have their quantities changed. It may be easier to first remove any cards marked for removal from a paper deck, then add or remove cards that have had their quantities changed. After you have made these adjustments, add new cards to the deck. Verify your changes and then mark a deck as finalized once all deck changes have been completed in your paper deck.

Make small and incremental changes to your deck. The Cycle and Dredge Magic: The Gathering Collection Management and Deck Builder app is usable from any computer or smartphone browser. Add or remove cards to decks as you get inspiration or think of new cards that might benefit your deck. After you have time to think about the changes you want to make, go ahead and edit your deck. These deck tracking features let you easily track changes you would like to make to your deck without constantly making changes to your paper deck or keeping track of notes.
